Macromedia FlashPaper 2 makes it easy to transform any printable document into a compact, web-friendly, fast-loading Macromedia Flash file that you can link to or embed directly in any web page—providing site visitors with an unbeatable online document viewing experience. The only plug-in that FlashPaper uses is Flash Player 6 (or greater), which is not only compact but available on practically all computer desktops.

FlashPaper is available for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. It creates FlashPaper copies of documents when you drag and drop a document into the open FlashPaper application window, or simply right-click any printable file. It also comes with special extensions to Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel that allow you to create documents with built-in hyperlinks and internal navigation.

As far as your application knows—whether it's a word processor or graphics program—when it converts a document to FlashPaper, it's simply printing to a real printer. Instead of sending pixels to a printer, however, the application captures all the graphics commands that the application sends to the printer and converts them into Flash or Adobe PDF format.
