On March 29 Macromedia opened the Pocket PC Flash Contest to developers who wanted to flex their Flash prowess to win one of eight Apple iPods or the grand prize—a 42-inch plasma TV! The contest was meant to challenge developers to see how fast and easy mobile development is with Macromedia Flash and to showcase the next generation of mobile applications.
In the last three months we received submissions from many developers that show just how rich and fun mobile Flash applications and games can be. A committee of Flash experts from the Mobile and Devices marketing, product management, and engineering teams at Macromedia judged the entries based on usability, presentation, functionality, and usefulness. One winner was chosen to showcase each of our eight categories and one grand prize winner was selected from the best of these entries.
We are pleased to announce the winners of the Pocket PC Flash Contest. If you have a Pocket PC with Macromedia Flash Player for Pocket PC, you can download these winning applications from the Macromedia Pocket PC Exchange.
