In Part 2 of this tutorial, you will prepare your design elements for the basic layout of the page. This is necessary before you can complete the CSS work in Part 3. In this part, you will complete the #header div, set a background image against the body element, and create the #innerwrapper div and its background image.

The #innerwrapper div also acts as a containing element for the divs that form the structure of your content area. You will complete the final stages of the content area's development in Part 3, and test your design to handheld and print media in Part 4.

About the author
