Snippets offer a simple and convenient method of creating fragments of reusable code. Snippets can be a single line or a considerable sized chunk of code such as HTML/XHTML, CSS, CFML, PHP, JavaScript and other types of code. Because they are reusable, snippets can save you hours of time because they help you avoid recreating the same code again and again. Not only does Dreamweaver ship with dozens of snippets you can use, but you can also use other people’s code snippets and share your own. In this article, I show you how you can share your snippets manually and then I show you how you can package your snippets as a Dreamweaver extension, so you can share them on the Dreamweaver Exchange. This article is an adaptation to the snippets section of my recent article on the Top Things You Didn't Know About Dreamweaver.
