Creating Your First Broadcast with Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX


Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX provides a complete development and deployment solution for integrating audio, video, and real-time data into your websites and Rich Internet Applications. One of the frequent uses of Flash Communication Server is on-demand video broadcasts. This tutorial walks you though the process of creating a simple video broadcast with Flash Communication Server.

Before you begin to build the application, make sure you've installed the following software on your system:

  • Macromedia Flash MX
  • Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX

Note: When you install Macromedia Flash Communication Server MX, you are given the choice to install the product in a Development or Deployment option. The instructions provided in this tutorial assume that you have chosen the Development installation.
