Macromedia MAX 2005

Birds-of-a-Feather

We are pleased to announce the Birds-of-a Feather gatherings for MAX 2005; our thanks to all who suggested topics for these sessions.

Birds-of-a-Feather gatherings are hour-long informal discussions held in the evenings after the day's MAX sessions are over. These are designed to cover specific topics or subtopics in a more interactive, conversational manner than the formal conference sessions offered during the day.

Monday, October 17th : 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Mobile 411

Here’s your chance to talk with members of the Macromedia mobile and devices team about anything related to technologies and devices. Bring your questions, sample content and ideas to share with others. You’ll also have a hands-on opportunity to try out Flash on a wide variety of handsets.

Meet the ColdFusion Team

Earlier this year, the ColdFusion team delivered the most feature-rich ColdFusion ever, ColdFusion MX 7. But they did not stop there, and are already hard at work on the next major ColdFusion codenamed "Scorpio".  This Birds-of-a-Feather is your chance to face the team yourself, tell them what you like and what you want improved, give them your opinions and ask them to share theirs. It is all fair game, and (judging by last year’s session) this room will fill up quickly.

Moderator: Tim Buntel, Senior Product Manager, Macromedia

Meet the Director Team

Come meet with members of both product management and engineering to discuss future opportunities with Macromedia Director and the Shockwave Player. The topics to be discussed will include the implications of the Flash 8 release on Director developers along with ideas for the product going forward. Come share your thoughts and ideas with both the product team and your fellow users.

ColdFusion Java Integration War Stories

ColdFusion runs on top of Java, and allows for the creation of hybrid ColdFusion + Java application development. From inline Java to JSP tags to Java object invocation and more, leveraging Java allows you to take your ColdFusion applications to the next level. But what works, and what doesn't? What are the performance benefits and implications? Where does Java makes sense, and where does it not? This is your chance to share your experiences, and learn from the experiences of your fellow CFers.

Moderator: Sean Corfield, Applications Engineer, Macromedia

The Flash Video Revolution is approaching us.
