MACR) today
announced that leading companies like Concert,
the AT&T and British Telecom global venture,
GMAC Commercial Mortgage and Sony Classical
are choosing Macromedia solutions to deliver
high-impact, data-driven, personalized Web
experiences.
Macromedia
Flash 5 and Generator are used together by
companies to deliver impressive visuals populated
with real-time data. Using templates authored
in Macromedia Flash 5, developers merge high-impact
Macromedia Flash visual content with real-time
data using Macromedia Generator.
"Macromedia
Flash is the standard for delivering high-impact
visual information on the Web," said Peter
Goldie, vice president of product management,
Macromedia. "More businesses are now merging
those visuals with dynamic data to make the
content as timely and informative as it is
engaging and interactive."
Concert
designed its customer portal to support almost
300 global companies, offering them an on-line
environment in which to conduct business with
Concert, learn more about the company and its
capabilities and enjoy access to a host of
news and information sources. Working with
NexusGroup, a Web integrator that develops
custom e-business solutions, Concert developed
a portal that looks and works in a spectacular
way, incorporating real-time, dynamic news
feeds and alerts, fed from internal and third
party sources. Since launching the portal application,
Concert has used the same technologies to enhance
its www site at http://www.concert.com.
"Macromedia
Flash and Generator met our requirements for
a compelling front end, personalized content
and dynamic presentation," said Simon
Cooper, Vice President e-Marketing, Concert
Global Accounts. "The solution also offers
the ability to run on any client platform and
to be accessible on dial-up bandwidth without
requiring Java applets and heavy-duty training
and maintenance. In an upcoming release of
the portal, Macromedia Flash and Generator
will be used to create an eService Dashboard
to connect customers with legacy and newly
developed service applications."
GMAC
Commercial Mortgage Corporation will be using
Macromedia Flash and Generator in the next
release of Realpoint, a comprehensive and up-to-the-minute
Web-based resource portal for investment professionals
who examine, track and trade commercial mortgage-backed
securities. Realpoint blends insightful industry
news and commentary with sophisticated analytical
tools and direct access to a team of 25 seasoned
commercial real estate analysts.
"We
see the Web as the premier platform for creating
value on an individual level, and the way to
this value is through a combination of personalization,
customization, and usable content," said
Eric Spellman, Sr. Program Manager, GMAC Commercial
Mortgage. "We leverage Macromedia Flash
and Generator to integrate our unique content
with rich presentation-layer features to keep
Realpoint on the cutting edge of both mortgage
analytics and technology."
SonyClassical.com is
the online brand for the world's #1 classical

and recordings. The graphic designers, content
producers, and programmers behind SonyClassical.com
rely heavily on Macromedia products including

Flash offers SonyClassical.com users a high
level of interactivity throughout the site.

other frequently changing information. Recently,
SonyClassical.com used Macromedia Flash, Generator,

listening stations, similar to the public CD-player
stations found in real-world record stores.
"SonyClassical.com
is built from the ground up using a wide range
of Macromedia products. These integrated solutions
not only help us save production time and make
the site more interactive and sticky, but they
allow us to unleash our full creativity without
