MACROMEDIA TO KEYNOTE FLASHFORWARD 2003

President of Products Norm Meyrowitz to deliver technology vision and roadmap

San Francisco—June 17, 2003—Macromedia (Nasdaq: MACR) today announced that Norm Meyrowitz, president of products for Macromedia, will deliver the opening keynote July 10 at Flashforward2003 New York. Meyrowitz will show the impact of using Macromedia Flash MX to deliver real business results and new ways Macromedia will help developers to create the great experiences that lead to those results.

"Macromedia Flash has experienced an amazing evolution from delivering simple animations to being a presentation layer for business-critical applications and information," said Meyrowitz.
