Adobe Flash Player Update for Flash CS3 Professional

04/17/2008 This update contains fixes for critical vulnerabilities identified in Security Bulletin APSB08-11 Flash Player update available to address security vulnerabilities.  The update replaces the Debug and Release versions of Flash Player 9 browser plugins, standalone players, and Test Movie players. All users should apply this update. These new players are version 9.0.124.0.

The Flash Player 9 updates are included in the ZIP file. For instructions on how to update Flash CS3 Professional, please go to this technote.

12/12/2007 Adobe Flash CS3 Professional (9.0.2) delivers support for the latest update of Adobe Flash Player 9. This update includes a new Video Playback component supporting H.264, support for Flash Lite 3 Update for Flash CS3 Professional, and all Debug and Release versions of this new Adobe Flash Player. For users of Flash CS3 Professional, this update will also be available via Adobe Update Manager in Flash CS3 Professional.

Flash Professional 8 FLVPlayback 1.0.1 Component Update

6/20/2006 This update provides fixes for problems related to SMIL support in the initial release of the FLVPlayback component. It also addresses some issues related to streaming from the Flash Media Server and Flash Video Streaming Service (FVSS) partners as well as some minor issues related to using custom UI controls. Anyone working with the FLVPlayback components should apply this update. Installation instructions are included with the download in the Readme file.

Flash Professional 8 and Flash Basic 8 Active Content Update

4/14/2006 This update provides new publishing templates for Flash Professional 8 and Flash Basic 8 so that user experience is not impacted by Microsoft's update to Internet Explorer regarding handling of some web pages using interactive controls (learn more). All users should apply this update.

Flash Lite 2.1 Update for Flash Professional 8

12/4/2006 With the new Flash® Lite™ 2.1 Update for Flash Professional 8 software, developers can build content for devices that support Flash Lite 2.1, and draw on capabilities of the latest mobile player.  This release includes Flash Lite 2.1 publishing support, emulator support (including XML sockets), device profiles and documentation.

Note:  Device Profiles in this offering may show Flash Lite 2.0 or Flash Lite 2.1 support even if a particular device has not yet been certified for that player version. This is for development purposes only and Adobe and its partners cannot guarantee that the device profiles will accurately reflect the on-device experience.

3/1/2006 With the new Flash Lite™ 2 Update for Flash Professional 8 software, developers can build content for devices that support Flash Lite 2, and draw on capabilities of the latest mobile player including XML support to handle data more efficiently, device video, and ActionScript 2.0. The Flash Lite 2 Update for Flash Professional 8 works with Flash Professional 8 and is not recommended for Flash Basic 8 customers.

Flash Remoting Components for Flash Professional 8 and Flash Basic 8

9/20/2005 The Flash Remoting Components extend the Macromedia Flash Basic 8 and Flash Professional 8 authoring environments. These components add the ActionScript APIs needed to invoke remote services using Flash Remoting MX and authoring tool extensions (such as the NetConnection Debugger). These components are available in English, French, German and Japanese.

Note: Flash Remoting Components for Flash MX 2004 and Flash MX are also available.
