Creating master/detail pages (ASP.NET)

You can use Macromedia Dreamweaver MX to create master/detail ASP.NET pages. A master page is a page that lists database records and corresponding links for each record. When the user clicks a link, a detail page opens displaying more information about the record.

Creating a master page
Opening a detail page and passing a record ID
Finding and displaying the requested record on the detail page
Viewing the completed pages

For information on creating ColdFusion or PHP master/detail pages, see Creating master/detail pages (ColdFusion) and Creating master/detail pages (PHP).

For information on creating ASP and JSP master/detail pages, see "Building Master/Detail Pages" in Dreamweaver Help (Help > Using Dreamweaver).
