After the Extension Manager is installed, the next step is to obtain an extension you want to use. The easiest approach is to find an extension on the Macromedia Exchange site, and then download that extension using your Web browser. The file you download is called an extension package file; its name ends with .mxp. The package file contains all the files you need to use the extension.

To install the package file, double-click its icon, or launch the Extension Manager and choose File > Install Extension. For more detailed instructions, choose Help > Using the Extension Manager.
