Creating a common layout in Dreamweaver 4 Layout View

Layout view simplifies the process of using tables for page layout. In Layout view, you can design your page using tables as the underlying structure, but avoid the traditional pitfalls of using tables. You can easily draw out your layout on the page.

There are several common layouts used on the Web today that you can easily re-create in Dreamweaver's Layout view. The most common layout has the title of the Web page and/or logo along the top, a menu along the left side, and the content area in the rest of the space.
