Differences in appearance
Web pages that use frames and tables will display in slightly different ways in the Web browser. The differences are purely aesthetic and choosing one over the other based on appearance relies solely on your preference. If you like the way frames look better than tables, be sure to read the Drawbacks of using frames section before making your final decision.

Often, a frames-based page will have more scroll bars than appear in the example. If your menu along the side is longer, you may need to include a scroll bar so that users can access the whole menu. Otherwise, part of the menu could be lost. |

With tables, you do not need to add scroll bars or attempt to predict how wide or long your user's web browser windows are. And a scroll bar will only appear along the left side or bottom of the browser window. It will never show up next to your menu.
