Paula R.
Stern is founder and Documentation Manager of
WritePoint Ltd , a leading technical writing company
serving the Israeli hi-tech industry. As a senior technical
communicator and help author, Paula has been using RoboHelp
since version 1.0 to develop countless WinHelp, WinHelp
2000, HTML Help, and WebHelp projects.
Paula graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University
and has been writing ever since. Her background in journalism
and marketing writing, combined with a strong interest
in computers, has led her to a career in technical writing.
In recent years, she has served as Editor, Secretary,
Vice President and Acting President of STC-Israel, and
was a driving force behind the first annual local convention
for technical writers held in 2003.
Paula is active on the Israeli technical writer's list,
Tech-Shoret (a play on the Hebrew work for "communication")
and is a moderator of HATT. She offers training courses
on the theory and implementation of online help development,
and is often called upon to manage conversions and localization
projects. On a personal note, many of her recent articles
can be found on Internet news sites and are featured
as a collection at
