The ColdFusion MX Developer Certification represents a professional level of expertise and demonstrates the competency of a ColdFusion MX developer.
To become certified, you must pass a challenging exam that consists of approximately 65 multiple-choice questions. The exam is delivered in a secure and proctored testing environment.
The basic knowledge and skills required to pass this exam include:
- Two or more years experience with one or more programming languages.
- Experienced in the applied use of an enterprise level database server
- One or more years of experience creating applications using ColdFusion.
Advanced ColdFusion MX Developer Status
Macromedia will now award individuals who achieve a superior score on the exam with special status. If you receive a test score of 80% or better on your exam, you will receive Advanced ColdFusion MX Developer status. Certified Advanced ColdFusion MX Developers are entitled to use the Advanced ColdFusion MX Developer logo on business cards, letterheads, and Web sites. Also, they will be listed in a directory found on the Macromedia Web site.

Macromedia has teamed with Virtual University Enterprise (VUE) to offer the Certified ColdFusion MX Developer Exam worldwide at any one of the more than 3,000 worldwide testing facilities. To find the testing facility nearest you, please visit www.vue.com/macromedia.
Currently, the ColdFusion MX exam is offered worldwide in English. The exam will also be offered in German and Japanese at the end of December 2002.

The price in North America for the Certified ColdFusion MX Developer Exam is $150 (U.S.) - payable via a valid credit card at the time you register for the exam. Pricing outside North America varies by country.

The Certified ColdFusion MX Developer Exam consists of 66 challenging multiple choice and true/false questions delivered in a secure, proctored testing environment. You will have 75 minutes to complete the exam. Reference materials and discussion between examinees is strictly prohibited.
Candidates need to score 65% correct or better on the Certified ColdFusion MX Developer exam to pass and become certified. Candidates who score 80% or above are granted Advanced Certified ColdFusion MX Developer status.
